THE BLACK MAN PROJECT
IDENTITY. INSECURITY. INFLUENCE. IMPACT.
An MNIT media initiative advancing identity, understanding, leadership, and legacy through conversation.
The Mission
The Black Man Project creates opportunities for Black men to share their experiences, examine their identities, recognize their influence, and consider the legacies they are building. Through books, documentaries, and meaningful dialogue, the initiative encourages understanding across generations and equips individuals and organizations with resources that can inspire conversations and ignite positive change.
The Four I’s of the Black Man
Featuring the perspectives of 28 Black men from across the United States, this award-winning documentary explores four defining areas of the Black male experience: Identity, Insecurity, Influence, and Impact.
Accompanied by the book Being a Black Man Is Harder Than You Think, the project encourages honest conversations, greater understanding, and meaningful reflection.
